Title: Akbar the Great (1542-1605)

Description: Akbar (Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar; Akbar the Great; October 15, 1542-October 27, 1605), shown on his throne blessing the son of a visiting noble. He was the third Mughai Emperor and his empire ranged over most of Northern and Central India, one of the most powerful empires of its age. That power came from well-organized military forces, as well as an Intelligence force or more than 4,000 secret agents, most of these spies recruited from the Untouchable caste of sweepers and cleaners. Their menial and lowly tasks gave them access to every home and they went unnoticed in their collection of all types of information, which was recorded and detailed for Akbar so that he knew all comings and goings in his empire.
