Title: Kim Philby (1912-1988)

Description: British traitor and Soviet spy Kim Philby (Harold Adrian Russell "Kim" Philby; January 1, 1912-May 11, 1988), center, wearing cap while walking on a Moscow street after his defection to Soviet Russia. Philby was part of the Cambridge Five, all graduates of England's prestigious Cambridge University, who held high-ranking diplomatic or intelligence positions in the British governments and who, for years, turned over that country's top secrets to the Soviets. In addition to Philby, the other four were Guy Burgess (Guy Francis De Moncy Burgess; April 16, 1911-August 30, 1963); Anthony Blunt (Anthony Frederick Blunt; September 26, 1907-March 26, 1983), Donald Maclean (Donald Duart Maclean; May 25, 1913-March 6, 1983), and John Cairncross (July 25, 1913-October 8, 1995). Cairncross alone had given the Soviets 5,832 secret documents.
