Description: Luftwaffe (German Air Force) raid indicator board during the Battle of Britain, 1940; the Luftwaffe commanded by Hermann Goring (Hermann Wilhelm Goring, AKA: Hermann Goering; January 12, 1893-October 15, 1946) launched a massive air attack on August 13, 1940 against Great Britain that the Britons called The Battle of Britain (July 10, 1940-October 31, 1940), but which the Nazis called Operation Eagle with the objective of destroying the British Royal Air Force, a necessary step before Nazi Germany would invade the British Isles in what was called Operation Sea Lion; Goring was profiled by (briefly) Carl Faulkner in the 1941 film Citizen Kane; by Rex Evans in the 1943 film Nazty Nuisance; by Alex Pope in the 1944 film The Hitler Gang; by Hermann Erhardt in the 1951 film The Magic Face; by John Mitchum in the 1962 film Hitler; Hein Reiss in the 1969 film The Battle of Britain, which also depicted in dramatic detail that prolonged battle over the skies of England; and by Gerhard Haase-Hindenburg in the 2008 film Valkyrie;
