Title: 1750 bare-knuckle boxing match

Description: A drawing of the 1750 bare-knuckle boxing match between "The Norfolk Butcher" Jack Slack (1721-1778) (Left) and "The Father of Boxing" John "Jack" Broughton (1703-1789) (Right). Broughton has been credited as historically defining the initial seven rules of conduct for boxing matches while holding bouts at his amphitheatre, and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Although heavily favored prior to the bout with Slack, Broughton suffered a bloody loss when "The Norfolk Butcher" caught him with a punch that temporarily destroyed his vision. The Duke of Cumberland, Prince William (1721-1765) can be seen in the far right, as it is rumored that he lost £10,000 on the bout while wagering on the side of Broughton;
